Impressionist Performs In Front Of Audience For First Time Ever, Then Simon Hears His Own Voice

I can only imagine how intimidating it is to stand in front of Simon Cowell.

If I ever had to perform anything in front of Simon, I’d do everything I could to make sure he loved it. I would stay away from anything he might not like, or anything that might offend him.

Daniel Ferguson, a 23-year-old from Ohio, decided to walk the line and risk offending Simon in his America’s Got Talent audition. His performance was so amazing that it paid off.

Daniel performed a rendition of DNCE’s hit “Cake By The Ocean,” but he gave the judges’ and audience more than just a typical cover.

An impressionist, Daniel sang “Cake By The Ocean” in the voices of well known TV characters and personalities, such as Kermit The Frog, Mickey Mouse, Scooby Doo — and Simon Cowell, himself.

According to WFMJ, this unbelievable performance was Daniel’s first ever time in front of an audience.

Daniel has a Youtube channel (where you can check out his original video audition!) and says that, even though he loves performing, he doesn’t love doing it in front of other people.

“I do like the idea of being behind the scenes… being that person on TV or in movies that you always recognize their voice but you don’t really know anything about them.” Daniel told WFMJ.
