  • Bride Surprises Grandmother By Getting Married In Her Wedding Dress From 1962.

    cdn.lifebuzz.com_images_227972_lifebuzz-ffb9eafe476be5f9961afa1103959a4e-thumb_800

It's tough to find a woman who hasn't fantasized about her wedding day since her mommy read to her the story of Cinderella or any other fairy tale fantasy where the main character gets her happy ending. So, by the time they hit puberty, some women are already at the planning stages of their wedding. Now, weddings aren't everyone's cup of tea, but getting treated like royalty for one whole day sounds like a dream come true, right? But making your family happy is pretty important too. Just ask one bride who left her grandmother speechless when she surprised her with an incredibly beautiful gesture.

Tradition says you wear something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.

Jordyn Cleverly was getting married on September 23rd, and she wanted to buy the perfect wedding dress, but after trying on 30 gowns, she felt completely bummed and unsatisfied. It seemed like no dress would do, but she needed to wear something when she walked down the aisle to wed her future hubby, Dakota Cleverly. So, she came up with the perfect solution to find the right wedding dress. All she needed was to borrow something old from her grams.

Now you could say that Jordyn is an old soul and wanted her wedding dress to reflect that.

Unfortunately, the bride-to-be from Boise, Idaho hadn’t found one that satiated her Victorian style vision. Then, she remembered that her grandmother from her father’s side had the perfect wedding dress solution for her. With the help of seamstress Candy Harris, the dress was altered to fit Jordyn. Then, two nights before the wedding, Jordyn’s dad gave her grams a Polaroid photo of her own wedding. But when she turned around, she saw that dress again 55 years later, on her granddaughter.

Jordyn's 74-year-old grandmother, Penny Jensen, had worn the same elegant wedding dress in 1962.

The dress was perfect because it was both old, borrowed, and oh, so elegant. During her “first look” photos, Jordyn had surprised Penny by showing up wearing her old dress. Although her grandfather died at 49 from sarcoidosis long before Jordyn got to meet him, she had heard plenty of stories about him from her grams, Penny. She also had photos of Grams in the dress. So, when she walked up to her it felt like Penny was looking at herself.

To say that the moment was emotional would have been an understatement.

Jordyn felt that her wedding to Dakota Cleverly on September 23rd, was a tribute to the love story that her grandmother and her “Opa” shared. Ironically, Jordyn and Cleverly met each other the same way her grandparents did. They both met in school when they were young and fell in love. Even as Jordyn said her “I do’s,” she remembered Penny hugging her and whispering in her ear that she had married her high school sweetheart in the same dress Jordyn wore. And they lived happily ever after.

  • These Bear Cubs Were Drowning, But Then Some Kind Boaters Saved The Day

    media.galaxant.com_000_503_906_690x252-1507297771

When we talk about “mama bears,” we generally think about strong protectors.

A mother bear will do anything at all to protect her cubs when possible. Bears are great swimmers, but when one brown bear tried to cross a lake with her cubs, she realized she had overestimated their ability to swim. Rather than stay with her struggling babies, she had to leave them behind to save her strength.

Usually that would be the end of the story. It’s a fact of life that nature is sometimes cruel. Thankfully, some people came along at just the right moment.

Some fishermen on Lake Vygozero in Russia spotted the brown bear cubs struggling and made their way to the spot.

The poor cubs were so weak that they couldn’t get into the boat without help.

Their eyes were pleading as they were finally helped into the boat. The fishermen were cautious, but the cubs were too exhausted to hurt anyone.

They dropped the cubs off on the island where their mother swam, hoping that she would come back for them. Watch the whole rescue below!

What an incredible story. It’s important to respect nature and keep our distance, but sometimes man and beast can work together to save lives.

  • 20 Winning Photos From The 2017 Nikon Small World Contest.

    cdn.lifebuzz.com_images_227895_lifebuzz-07f291a1355a5e74328d155903530587-thumb_800

The micro world is ten times cooler than the macro world! Now you've probably heard of the Annual Sony World Photography contest. But that's better suited for the world we can see. The Nikon Small World Photomicrography Competition is for the seemingly invisible microscopic world that we simply can't see. Using a light microscope, the images that are captured are simply out of this world. This year's 2017 competition has gotten as many as 2,000 entries from as many as 88 countries from around the world, and after 42 years, the photomicrography competition continues to wow us in ways we never thought possible!

Some of the best photomicrography literally comes from within ourselves!

This is a photo of a single HaCaT keratinocyte, or in layman’s terms, a human skin cell with fluorescent keratin. Taken by Dr. Bram van den Broek, Andriy Vollov, Dr. Kees Jalink, Dr. Reinhard Windoffer, and Dr. Nicole Schwarz, this photo won first place without a doubt.

Have you ever wondered what the seed head of a flowering plant looks like?

This is a microscopic in-depth look of a senecio vulgaris taken by Dr. Havi Sarfaty. The photo won 2nd place for its creepy looking tentacles, which made it look more like an insectoid and less like plant life.

This isn't an updated version of the oh-so popular Pac-Man game you grew up playing.

The photo, taken by Jean-Marc Babalian, won 3rd place, and is actually a living volvox algae, and those yellow balls are actually daughter colonies it’s releasing, not eating.

It came from outer space and settled in your tummy, or did it come from animal meat?

This is a Taenia solium everted scolex taken by Teresa Zgoda. It won 4th place, and in case you were wondering what a Taenia solium was, it’s known as a tapeworm. Creepy looking, isn’t it?

Aw, what is that tribble doing on top of that sweaty red surface?

It’s actually not a tribble, but a mold spore on a tomato and was taken by Dean Lerman, who won 5th place for it. Who would have thought that mold would have looked cute enough to pet.

Those of you suffering from trypophobia beware of this hole-y photo!

Even if you don’t have an irrational fear of holes, this photo that came in 6th place will likely cause your eyes to water and your nose to run. But that’s because this is a Lily pollen taken by Dr. David A. Johnston.

It looks like a bouquet of fruity pebbles or some awesome street art.

This was taken by Dr. Ryo Egawa and won 7th place. Those colors are actually individually labeled axons in the embryonic chick ciliary ganglion located just behind the eye in the posterior orbit.

Has Dr. Michael Perny taken a photo of one of his random screensaver images?

Actually, this is a newborn rat’s cochlea, which the auditory portion of the inner ear, complete with sensory hair cells, which appear as green. The red portions are the spiral ganglion neurons. This photo was too cool to be 8th place.

Christmas time is finally here with this image which came in 9th place.

The photo taken by Catarina Moura, Dr. Sumseet Mahajan, Dr. Richard Oreffo and Dr. Rahul Tare is not a painting or perfectly arranged ornaments. It’s actually cartilage tissue grown in a lab using bone stem cells. The red are fat deposits, while the green are collagen fibers. Ho, ho, ho!

This 10th place photo taken by Dr. Csaba Pinter is the embodiment of true weevil!

These two are actually called Phyllobius roboretanus, also known as weevils, or in simpler terms, a form of beetles, who aren’t shy about someone watching them doing the nasty.

Not every photo in the microscopic contest involves all things organic.

This photo, taken by Steven Simon, won 11th place. But how he did this was simpler than you think. It was taken by fracturing the plastic on the hologram of a credit card. How outrageous!

If you weren't arachnophobic before you certainly will be with this 12th place winning photo.

Taken by Charles B. Krebs, this is the photo of one of an Opiliones’ eyes. Not sure what an Opiliones is? Recognize the spider species known as a daddy longlegs? Now you get to see one eye to eye.

The orchid cuckoo bee looks ten times more breathtaking under a microscope!

Rarely, do we get a close up look at something this beautiful. It’s like the wings of the Exaerete frontalix were made of gold and the body was made of emeralds. This photo is part of a collection from the Oxford University Museum of Natural History and was taken by Levon Biss, who won 13th place.

It might seem like a tropical fruit on an exotic island but you might want to hold off eating one.

These are actually common Mestra butterfly eggs, which were laid on a leap of Noseburn plant. The photo was taken by David Millard and won 14th place. Suddenly, we’ve lost our appetite.

There aren't too many of us that get a glimpse into what a 3rd trimester fetus looks like.

Dr. Rick Adams took a photo of this megachiroptera, aka fruit bat, that will make you go batty. The 15th place photo gives us an unusually beautiful insight into what a bat’s insides look like before its born.

This 16th place photo taken by Marek Mis is totally for the birds.

This isn’t a shot of a tree branch taken on an alien world, but rather microscopic feather of a Parus major, aka a titmouse, which is a small songbird from North America.

Do you ever feel like your hair is all tied up in knots after a dye job?

According to 17th place winner, Harald K. Andersen, that’s exactly, what you get. But tell us this doesn’t look cute. It’s like a nice pink knot that makes up a part of this dyed human hair.

Make sure you don't cross your 'Ts' with this 18th place microscopic winning photo.

This isn’t some form of digital artwork of a bunch of anchors. It’s actually the skin of a Synapta, or sea-cucumber taken by Christian Gautier.

The building blocks of what we call life can often look like the strata or layers of the Earth's surface.

This might give you flashbacks to geology class when you were learning about the history of the Earth’s geology, but this 19th place image taken by Dr. Dylan Burnette is actually the embryonic body wall from a developing mouse.

You can have a lot of "fun" studying this 20th place microscopic image by Tracy Scott.

It’s not the painting of a sunset on an alien world, but rather a microscopic look at the aspergillus flavus, aka fungus, and yeast colony found in some soils.

  • This Bengal Cat Has Adventures That Will Make Most Humans Jealous.

    cdn.lifebuzz.com_images_227846_lifebuzz-ac5210528e963f380ffe7a29ba8b9d03-thumb_800

Are you more of a cat person than you are a dog person? Do you ever get envious when you're out in public, and you see someone enjoying a nice afternoon with their pup, wishing you could bring your precious feline out with you, too? Most people don't ever consider this is a possibility. They assume that because they're a cat, they have no desire to want to go anywhere with them, and this just isn't true. It's a little known fact that cats can be leash trained. They enjoy going on walks, and they even love exploring the woods with their human companion leading the way. Suki the Cat is blowing the minds, and touching the hearts of everyone that comes into contact with her. She has shown the world that cats can be the perfect travel companions, and she's doing it in an absolutely stunning way! Keep scrolling, and you'll see exactly why it's possible to hit the road traveling, and bring your cat with you!

Martina Gutfreund is the loving human companion of this exceptionally beautiful Bengal cat, named Suki!

Bengal cats are known for being natural explorers and enjoy going on adventures.

Suki is absolutely no exception to that rule. In fact, Suki goes above and beyond with her adventures.

She has learned to walk beside her human mother on her leash, and absolutely adores being carried around in her U-Pet carrier.

Suki enjoys camping and canoeing, and unlike most cats, doesn't mind the water at all!

Martina says that Suki can do anything that a dog can do, which is why she's the perfect partner for traveling.

She says that cats are capable of way more than humans give them credit for.

She even loves going on long hikes with his mother, and doesn't seem to whine when she gets too tired!

They recently went on an amazing journey through the beautiful wilderness of Canada.

Suki went on her favorite hike ever while checking out the scenery of Johnston Canyon in Banff, Alberta.

Martina said it was like an absolute paradise for Suki.

Most of the trail was boardwalks suspended on cliffs with the view of rushing water below.

Most cats would have no desire to go on that type of journey, but Suki certainly embraced the challenge.

As someone who also has a traveling cat, I can say that Suki is extraordinary!

While someone can absolutely train their cat like Martina did with Suki, it's not an easy task.

Cats are naturally very independent animals, who just kind of want to do their own thing.

A harness and leash can be a bit difficult for them to get used, so the key is to begin training them at a very young age.

Suki is a very lucky cat to have Martina for a mom, but I'm sure Martina feels just as lucky to have Suki. They make a purrfect team!

Some folks dream about retiring someday, so they can buy a Winnebago and travel across the country. But one couple decided that they really didn't want to wait until they were older. Instead, they decided to quit a lucrative job, and head on the road. Now this sounds like a dream come true, and we'd certainly jump at the chance to do what they did. But first, they needed some wheels, and instead of a Winnebago, they opted for something a bit more unusual.

Most folks spend their 30s, 40s, and even 50s, trying to climb that corporate ladder.

Not everyone imagines clawing their way towards a CEO position. Lisa Felepchuk, 33, and her boyfriend, Coleman Molnar, 31, wanted to take their life on the road.

Most folks spend their 30s, 40s, and even 50s, trying to climb that corporate ladder.

Lisa used to be an editor-in-chief of a women's luxury lifestyle magazine.

Instead, of allowing her company to fly her to Paris to watch fashion shows, she opted for a new life, which involved sleeping in the back of an old camper van with her boyfriend and her kitty.

Lisa used to be an editor-in-chief of a women's luxury lifestyle magazine.

As you can see, Coleman doesn't have a care in the world either, except for Lisa of course.

Coleman worked as a digital editor for a men’s magazine, but the whole nine-to-five gig just didn’t satisfy him. So, he decided to release his shackles and embrace freedom in this 1983 VW Vanagon Westfalia.

As you can see, Coleman doesn't have a care in the world either, except for Lisa of course.

The used camper van, required a bit of refurbishing before they went on the road.

It cost $8,000 just to modify the van so it would be comfy enough for everyone. Admittedly, it can be a little cramped in some areas, but Lisa isn’t really complaining.

The huge advantage to living this way is that the couple could say goodbye to monotony.

With their old jobs behind them, the couple decided that freelance writing was a far better option, and it allowed them to control the amount of work and number of hours they worked.

The huge advantage to living this way is that the couple could say goodbye to monotony.

This gave Lisa and Coleman the chance to launch a boutique content creation house.

“Li et Co” was easy to manage so long as they were on the road traveling somewhere where the wI-fi connection was decent. It also allowed them to venture and explore places they’d never been to.

This gave Lisa and Coleman the chance to launch a boutique content creation house.

This couple certainly put their heads together and came up with a real cool idea.

Not only do they get to travel, but they earn as they go. In time, the couple hopes that this form of digital employment will revolutionize the way people earn money while they’re on the road.

This couple certainly put their heads together and came up with a real cool idea.

The couple had met in Toronto and hit it off right away.

After buying their van, they started traveling across Canada. Then, they decided to head down south to America where they drove from Washington State, to Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, before heading back to Ontario.

Lisa and Coleman may settle down somewhere in the future, but not yet.

For now, they’re enjoying life on the road abroad their VW Westfalia, which his small enough to travel through a big city or through a back-country road.

Lisa and Coleman may settle down somewhere in the future, but not yet.

The best part about life on the road here is that home is never far behind.

In fact, their home just happens to go on the road with the couple, and they’ve attracted thousands of followers on Instagram, who have turned them into Insta-star travelers!

Another advantage of traveling on the road is that you get to exercise quite a bit.

In order to save on gas, the couple have also brought their bikes along so they can explore some remote areas where their van can’t go.

Another advantage of traveling on the road is that you get to exercise quite a bit.

Admittedly, this sort of lifestyle might not be for everyone, but it's worth a shot.

But if you start brainstorming your dream today, Lisa and Coleman believe that you can turn it into a reality, no matter how long it takes. You just need to have the courage to see it through. Then you can sit back and relax.

Admittedly, this sort of lifestyle might not be for everyone, but it's worth a shot.

After graduation, they plan to leave New York and head to Africa to put their knowledge to good use in a continent that could benefit from their experiences.

In Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, this woman stands strong and beautiful.

According to Noroc, this photo was taken right before she performed in a traditional dance. But if she looks tough, it’s because she’s had to deal with legislative proposals that undermine women’s rights groups. But although violence and discrimination may be present, we wouldn’t want to mess with this enchantress.
