    cdn.lifebuzz.com_images_227612_lifebuzz-cb045b59b7ae256dd0f1b6965c866ad5-thumb_800

You might not have realized it, but tacos are a serious thing, especially on National Taco Day, which just so happens to be today, October 4th. So, if you love tacos then this is the ultimate holiday for you. There's just no excuse why you shouldn't eat some tacos today! So, call in sick, or take an extended lunch break, and head on over to your favorite taco making restaurant like Taco Bell or Chipotle's and start celebrating. One taco just isn't enough. Besides, this is a fiesta! So eat up! Things are about to get hot and spicy at popular taco restaurants all across the nation.

National Taco Day is great when it falls on a Tuesday, cause you can hashtag #TacoTuesday.

But this year, the popular made-up food holiday fell on a Wednesday. But we don’t care, because we love this popular Mexican dish, and simply can’t stop with you one.

Have you ever wondered what the word taco actually means?

It turns out that it means “light lunch,” which is ironic because most of us who frequent fast food venues like Taco Bell wind up order like six of these suckers and we’re never in the mood to share.

Tacos aren't a recent food invention either. It turns out that they go back thousands of years.

According to Tacopedia (yes, it exists), tacos were invented around 1,000 and 500 B.C. and our ancestors used the tortilla as an edible spoon to scoop up all the tasty ingredients. Is your mouth watering yet?

Did you know that you can also go on a taco cleanse to improve your health?

While conventional tacos use beef or chicken, there’s also a vegan alternative that has had a major impact on the well-being of some people. Rumor has it that even FRIENDS celeb Jennifer Aniston might have figured out how to make some of these.

Did you know that you can also go on a taco cleanse to improve your health?

    Taco Cleanse

You can eat tacos anywhere, but not at any time according to Mexican tradition.

While most of us eat tacos for lunch, dinner, and any time in between, Mexicans have a different point of view. For example, Antojitos tacos can only be eaten during dinner while seafood tacos should only be eaten during lunch.

The word taco has a long history and it wasn't always used to refer to the popular food item.

The actual word was invented in the 18th century in the Mexican silver mines and was used to refer to the explosive charges used in the excavation process. Essentially, a taco was a sheet of paper that was used to wrap around gunpowder and then placed on the rock face.

Of course, tacos are quite popular in the United States today.

But did you know that the word wasn’t even mentioned in the States until it appeared in 1905 in a newspaper. Later on, the word was used to refer to pushcarts in L.A., and also used by the Chili Queens in San Antonio, where customers would flirt and buy tacos to these women in order to get their services.

The first taco truck ever came about in 1966 in New York City.

The truck was used for catering, but also provided tacos to the bustling city. Today, you can pretty much find taco trucks everywhere you go across the nation.

Americans eat so many tacos that some might say we're obsessed with them.

According to NationalTacoDay.com, folks in the U.S. eat 4.5 billion tacos last year. Now that’s a lot of tacos in our tummies!

Tacos are such a big deal that they've even broken a Guinness World Record.

On March 8th, 2003, a flour taco weighing 1,654 pounds was made by Cocinex, S.A. De C.V., in the city of Mexicali, in Baja California, Mexico. According to the Guiness World Records, it’s the largest flour taco in the world so far.

Tacos have evolved over the years and the tacos you know and love didn't get their U-shape until 1950.

Taco Bell founder, Glen Bell claims he invented the U-shaped taco in 1950. But according to the U.S. patent office records, the patent for the U-shaped taco was given to Mexican restaurant owners in the 1940s. But it wasn’t until 1947, when Fausto Celoria invented the first automated tortilla machine that making taco shells became oh-so much easier.

You don't have to be Mexican to invent the world's largest taco.

In fact, in New Mexico, the world’s largest Navajo Taco was built, and was over 10 feet in diameter, and used 150 pieces of fry bread, 65 pounds of beans and ground beef each, 90 pounds of cheese, 50 pounds of lettuce, and over 30 pounds of green chili. Maybe they should have invented a world’s largest Tums too.

The taco might be seen all around the nation and other parts of the world, but one woman owns it.

In 1979, Maris Bustamante, a Mexican artist, registered the taco as hers, at least according to Tacopedia. She even claims the patent rights.

Volunteers and students in Queretaro, Mexico created the world's largest pork taco to date.

Students and volunteers from the National College of Professional Education, Tec Milenio University, and the Culinary Institute of Advanced Studies put their culinary talents together to create a humongous pork taco using 661 pounds of onions, 45 pounds of cilantro, 1,100 pounds of tomatoes, over a million and a half pounds of tortillas, and of course, lots of pork. The whole thing measured 73 meters and cost approximately $50,000 to make.

Fish Tacos come in all sorts of recipes, but they're delicious no matter how you make them.

But if you were ever curious as to where this tasty meal came from, then wonder no more, because Ensenada, Mexico just so happens to be the birthplace of the fish taco.

If you're worried that the economy will send Taco Bell packing, don't be.

Half of the entire U.S. population eats Taco Bell at least once a month. Now that’s a lot of love and dedication for tacos. And here you thought that the burger was America’s signature meal. It is, but tacos come awfully close, especially on National Taco Day.

  • Artist Creates The Best Résumé Ever Using A LEGO Mini-Figure.

    cdn.lifebuzz.com_images_227562_lifebuzz-da3d65f76efb0821936bc3085f45b0f3-thumb_800

They say that when you apply for a job, you should always find a way to stand out from all the other applicants. But don't count on your credentials to make you shine because there's a good chance there are others with the same qualifications as you. Some might even be more qualified than you. So how do you find a way to really make an impression? Try doing what one artist did and create the most unique résumé ever. Now a résumé is your calling card, and will definitely get you through the front door. But the ultimate résumé will guarantee success. So, one artist used a LEGO mini-figure as a résumé. Now that's creative!

Some people need to pull some strings to land a decent job.

For Andy Morris, a string was just one of the items he needed to unleash a résumé on his future employer that would knock his socks off.

Morris wanted to mail himself to his potential employer, but he was too tall to deliver.

So instead he came up with a better plan that involved a cardboard shipping box, a string, a label, and a LEGO mini-figure of himself to make a true statement.

The talented artist came up with the figure's packaging all by himself.

It looks so real that you’d swear that he bought it from a toy store. But really, all it took was some creativity, and a customized mini-figure with a laptop in one hand and a résumé in the other.

Morris had every intention of making a statement with his résumé and he was on the right path.

The LEGO box he created featured the artist’s unique way of designing things, which would likely prove to his potential employers that he had plenty of drive and creative ambition.

You have to admit that his idea was a lot better than handing in a sheet of paper.

With a little patience and a lot of dedication, he managed to revolutionize the way someone applies for a job by providing a lighthearted technique to the otherwise dull process of creating a résumé.

Most toys, particularly action figures, provide info on the character.

In his case, the LEGO mini-figure had all of the information that his future employer would need, like his contact information and credentials. Morris also gave himself a little shout out to his mini plastic doppelgänger.

This isn't the first time that Andy Morris has used toys to make a statement.

As an artist, he is well known for doing this. In fact, some would even say that it’s his trademark signature. But we have to admit, using one as a résumé was a fun approach.

It's safe to say that it's a very original technique that many will try to follow.

Now the question remains, will it actually work? It’s certainly worthy of grabbing someone’s attention, and can be so refreshing when going through stacks and stacks of résumés.

There's no word yet on whether Morris landed himself that job.

But we have very little doubt that anyone could resist unwrapping their newest employee. Now let’s hope his impressive résumé going viral helps this creative employee land his dream job!

Seeing things looking so symmetrical can leave you feeling extremely satisfied. So next time you get an itch to become totally organized, you might want to get a few ideas from these photos. From colors, to sizes, to function, the wide array of patterns will leave you feeling oh-so orderly.

#1. Boy! We've heard of busy work at a fast food restaurant, but this is the limit.

We can already see the patrons almost afraid of messing up the perfectly organized condiments, straws, and plastic utensils. Don’t turn around or you might see the employee who did this giving you the evil eye.

#2. Congrats on having the neatest looking drawer of spices we've ever seen.

Okay, so it might not have been alphabetized, but who cares? It’s as perfect as this is going to get. Now the only issue here is figuring out how to make extra space for the leftover condiments.

#3. Can you tell that this person really loved the label maker they bought?

There’s a label on everything, and the info on them has everything you’d need to identify what’s inside these containers. The only thing missing is the color of the items.

#4. This gummy bear and M&M platter would make the perfect snack during the NFL season.

Too bad that whoever color coded this platter of sweet perfection would probably strangle you if you ruin their work of art.

#5. This is jelly bean heaven, and you'll never have to worry about picking out your favorite color.

All the colors are separated into different containers, so you can find your pear jelly beans easily without losing your mind. You could even create a jelly bean pit and go swimming in these delicious treats.

#6. This may be the most organized bathroom closet ever.

You pretty much have everything you’ll ever need from beauty items like curlers, towels, first aid items, and even a travel kit. The only thing this person could use for Christmas is a label maker.

#7. Finally! There's order to this embroidery string, so you can sow in harmony.

You might think this is too much, but imagine having to deal with a craft room that’s all disorganized. Well, you’ll never have to worry about that again.

#8. Behold! The most symmetrically organized tool wall ever!

You’ll never have to go nuts over those missing nuts and bolts or looking for a wrench, screwdriver, or a hammer. This softwood board will make any tool guy sigh with satisfaction.

#9. Even airports have gotten into the habit of organizing their drinks.

At the Sawyer International Airport in Marquette County, Michigan, you won’t have to go insane looking for your favorite drink, unless they ran out. Then you’re out of luck.

#10. In order to get organized, you have to take things apart, like this longboard.

This guy took apart his longboard, cleaned it, and put it back together. He probably should have cleaned the parts too, but oh, well. Nobody’s perfect.

#11. You'll never have to worry about mixing up these color-coded cables ever again.

If the boss ever asks you to replace the orange cable, you won’t have to deal with the nightmare of untangling it from a chaotic jumble or multi-colored wires. Now this is an electrician’s dream come true.

#12. If you thought a box of Nerds was already color coded, guess again.

This person wasn’t satisfied with buying those boxes with the split in the middle and just took all the Nerds candy out and organized them by color. Now that’s time well spent.

#13. This is the kind of streamlined closet that would make Carrie Bradshaw eat her heart out.

From scarves to jackets, this closet is so organized! Even the shoes have their own separate boxes. Martha Stewart should give this lady an award.

#14. We know what this person will leave his kids in the will, and it ain't cash.

Well, at least some of these look like they were placed in a chastity belt, so their kids might be able to sell them on eBay as antiques. One thing they won’t have to worry about is finding the key on most of these. Incredible!

#15. This cook knows how to bake their tater tots and wiggly fries just right.

Once they’re out of the oven, don’t you dare try to take one and put in your mouth, cause there’s a method to their madness, and they’ll know when a fry or tot goes missing.

#16. This may be the ultimate love story between a human and the color yellow.

From banana to lemon flavored candies, this person has a thing for organization and yellow, and it’s a good thing too, because their teeth will probably turn yellow from so much sweets.

#17. This tin can of Heinz Spaghetti hoops looks like the inside of Doctor Who's Tardis.

Talk about having a hole-y experience when you sit down for lunch. This is what happens when you’re not really hungry and have an hour to kill during your lunch break.

    #18. One person's trash is another person's color-coded treasure.

It’s a good thing that they left a path to sift through all this stuff. It’s actually quite pretty though. Whoever organized this should consider turn this into an art piece.

One person's trash is another person's color-coded treasure.

    Dan Tobin Smith

#19. If you ever date someone with a kitchen this organized be very afraid!

From the pots, to the clean stove, to the knives hanging perfectly above the counter. Wow! This has all the makings of someone with serial killer tendencies.

#20. A customer walking into this store might feel self-conscious about pinching a tomato.

But we totally appreciate the effort it took to actually organize all the veggies and fruits by their color and type. But, uh oh, I see a few tomatoes over there mixed in with the wrong color. Now grab a brown bag and start hyperventilating.

#21. Is anyone else having a flashback to the theme song from "Weeds"?

Malvina Reynolds must have been looking at something like this when she came up with the lyrics, “Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes made of ticky-tacky.”

Is anyone else having a flashback to the theme song from "Weeds"?

    Oscar Ruiz / National Geographic

#22. Looks like someone is high on something other than life.

Okay, so they might have lost a few brain cells over the last 7 months, but fortunately, their organizational skills are still lit.

#23. Life's essentials look a little different for everyone, especially when they're obsessed with order.

We’re actually surprised by the level of relief this actually brings to us just looking at it. It’s like eye candy for organization freaks. At least you can’t see he doesn’t have his life all figured out.

#24. Jack Daniel's and organization go hand in hand when you're traveling.

It feels like we’ve just glimpsed into the life of Indiana Jones. But we’re guessing that he’s already wearing a shirt and a pair of pants, or maybe he’s a clothing optional adventurer.

#25. You'll never have to worry about mixing the hot sauce with the medium or mild sauce.

At this Taco Bell, organization is as important as cleanliness. But around lunch hour, whoever organized this will be on the floor in tears when customers make a mess of things.

  • Adopted Dog Returned To Shelter 11 Times, But Then The Staff Finally Realized Why.

    cdn.lifebuzz.com_images_227550_lifebuzz-5282302c8d15bdb9aeaf26e31ea5a3f0-thumb_800

Some animal lovers compare a dog shelter to animal prison, even though it's not. Now, sure it's better for an animal to be cared for in a shelter than leaving them out on the street, where danger lurks in every corner. But in general, most dogs would prefer to get adopted soon by a human family so they can feel nurtured 24 hours a day.

Meet Gumby, a hound who has a talent for running away from his adoptive family.

There isn’t a leash that can contain him, and if you try, you’re going to be really disappointed, because he’s so good at escaping, he makes David Copperfield look like an amateur.

Gumby's life wasn't exactly ideal before he found his way to the shelter.

In fact, he had been wandering around South Carolina when he was 4 years old. But eventually, he was picked up and taken to the safety of the Charleston Animal Society.

In less than no time, Gumby had become healthy and oh-so adorable.

The folks working at the Charleston Animal Society had fallen head over heels in love with him, and the feeling was mutual. So, neither side expected that they’d ever be separated from each other, but they were.

Eventually, Gumby was adopted, but he was one slippery four-legged pooch.

His first adoption lasted only three days. Fortunately, the second adoption lasted a little longer; six days. Soon enough, this had become a pattern, and initially, no one understood why.

For the next two years, Gumby would bounce from home to shelter, to home and back again.

He’s had a total of 8 adoptive parents, who all returned the pooch to the shelter, and was also picked up off three times on the streets after he seemingly tried running away from his owners.

His revolving door of adoptive families had cared for him and fed him, but he wasn't happy.

He just kept trying to escape every time, which is why the owners got tired of it and brought him back to the shelter. Finally, a staff member at the shelter figured out why Gumby was compelled to return.

According to the shelter's behavior team leader, Donya Satriale, Gumby is an empath.

This means he has a skill that allows him to comfort new dogs coming into the shelter. Essentially, he would ease their minds and put their fears to rest.

So, instead of putting her up for adoption again, Satriale made him an "ambassa-dog."

But aside from helping the new arrivals adjust to their life at the shelter, he also helps kitties at the Charleston Animal Society by donating blood, which helps cats fight infection. So, not only is Gumby adorbs, but he’s also a life saver for his feline cousins. Now isn’t that heartwarming?

It’s in our human nature to want to pamper ourselves sometimes. Some of us like to treat ourselves to a relaxing massage. Some people like to go get their nails done with their girlfriends. Others like to buy themselves some new books and curl up with a glass of wine. You may find this surprising, but humans aren’t the only ones that like a little pampering in their lives. Animals enjoy this self-love time, too! The owners of these horses took grooming to the next level. Check out their new looks and get a few giggles in while you’re at it!

This classy guy thinks his impressive mustache is going to get him some extra carrots.

It looks like he has a sea anemone growing on his face, rather than a mustache. Hopefully, he made a complaint with the manager at the salon.

And the winner of the longest horse mustache goes to…Fred! We hear he's taking his award on the road and heading to Graceland!

This guys looks like he's quickest gunslinger in the west.

He looks like he's a dignified hippie. All he needs is a drum, and a monocle, and his look would be complete.

His eyes tell a thousand tales but he knows his mustache is the butt of a thousand jokes.

He's what you would call the hipster of horses. Someone get this guy a craft beer!

This horse is happy to report that his new look is getting him all the ladies!

I kind of want to know why all these dark-haired horses are growing blond mustaches.

He's really happy with how his mustache is growing in. Now, someone needs to do something about that hair.

This guy was found guilty of kidnapping the damsel in distress and tying her to railroad tracks. Hopefully, he learns to change his sinister ways.

It looks like he's the reincarnation of Mark Twain. If only he had the thumbs so he could write.

No one has taught this fella the importance of cleaning out his mustache after eating.

Keep away from this guy. He's the shady one in the bar that will try to hustle you in some pool.

  • This Tiny House Is Made Of 24 Layers Of Cardboard.

    cdn.lifebuzz.com_images_227547_lifebuzz-673989b43d00554dfc93ab0556c863f4-thumb_800

What if you could build your house for a day, but you'd have to use material made up mostly of cardboard? Would you still live in it? Don't worry, because this isn't the typical cardboard material you'd expect to find in a dumpster in the back of a shopping mall or supermarket. The cardboard is a lot sturdier than you can imagine, but it's still easy enough that you can build this cozy little home in 24 hours. It sounds like sheer fiction, but it's real and what's even better is that this dwelling is also adaptable for pretty much anyone's needs.

Imagine if this was your nice little home away from home in the middle of the woods.

Can you see yourself relaxing in there? Well, what if we were to tell you that the home is made of 24 layers of cardboard? You’re probably shaking your head and going, “no way!”

It looks like a giant bread loaf, but it can definitely keep you and a friend comfy.

The Wikkelhouse was designed by Fiction Factory, a theater scenery company, who decided to move on to better things like the construction of this small home.

If the house appears to be sturdy, it's because it really is.

This home won’t fall apart in the middle of a rainstorm. It actually has a house-shaped mold frame, and that frame has 24 layers of cardboard wrapped around it. It’s a very green idea when you think about it.

There are no clones of this Wikkelhouse, which is great for anyone who wants one.

Each home has a different design, which can vary in all sorts of ways from particular features to the size of the structure.

Just try to imagine yourself waking up to this wonderful view.

Opening the glass doors and allowing the fresh air to come in will make you feel like you’re in the afterlife. The beauty of this design puts any tent to shame, and even those who don’t like camping will change their tune with the Wikkelhouse.

This window's perfect when it's late at night and you can't open the front door.

You just pop this window out and let some fresh air into the Wikkelhouse. It not only ensures protection from the elements, but also any animal that might be lurking.

The structure is so perfectly designed that it can survive most environments.

But don’t worry about the inside of the home because the exterior has waterproof foil and wood paneling, so you can enjoy a nice meal in your living room without freaking out over a leaky ceiling.

The Wikkelhouse might be made up mostly of cardboard, but it won't fly away.

The structure has enough weight, 500 kilos overall, that it wouldn’t require a foundation to keep it steady, and it has all the amenities of home, like this nifty way to stay warm.

Currently, the Wikkelhouse can be ordered and built in six different countries.

So, if you want a getaway home in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, The United Kingdom, or Denmark, you’re in luck!

On the inside, the home looks like it has been made entirely of plywood.

But it’s so easy to make that you simply won’t believe your eyes. The only thing that’s missing to make this place more like home, would be furniture.

You get all the comforts of home without any of the hassle involved in the construction.

Fiction Factory can pretty much build it anywhere you want, so you don’t have to break a sweat. In fact, if you order it in advance, your home will be ready to move into by the time you get to your destination.

If Mother Nature had a physical home to go to, it would probably look a lot like this.

It’s in plain sight, but not always easy to see if you place it in the right location, and the glass acts as a bit of a camouflage so you can have some privacy.

When the structure first arrives, it looks like quite a project.

But it actually comes in individual segments. Essentially, it’s like a puzzle, where the pieces simply have to fit together, which is why it only takes a day to construct. In fact, you could even make an entire small village out of them.

The homes can be constructed in natural and urban environments as well.

Some might use it as a getaway in the forest while others have actually had them installed at the Rotterdam Red Apple Marine, where it floats with the boats.

Construction is super easy, but that's mainly because you don't really have to do the work.

You have a crew building your cardboard-like home, which really blows away any concept you ever had of a treehouse when you were a kid.

It even occurred to us that Fiction House might actually have a huge opportunity here.

With these easy to build homes, they could provide shelters to the homeless or provide temporary homes to those who have lost their home due to a natural disaster like an earthquake or a hurricane.

Here's a closer look at what the wall's interior is comprised of.

See? We told you it was made up mostly of cardboard, but wrapped with an exterior that protects the Wikkelhouse from the otherwise, harmful environment.

A home that's made-to-order sounds like a dream, but it's more like a dream come true.

It can be small or big, and modified to meet your individual needs, and you don’t have to wait forever for the production process. Who knew a cardboard dwelling could be this amazing?

Companies use logos to create a visual symbol for people to associate with their business. It allows consumers to store a memory of the company in their brain. Think about it. What comes to mind when you think of McDonalds? The bright golden arches. The image is burned into your brain. If you were asked to draw different companies logos, would you be able to do it just from memory? Over 150 people were asked to do just this, and the results are pretty surprising. How would you do, if given the same task?

  • Now You Can Stay In The Hotel Room Where John Lennon And Yoko Ono’s Bed-In Peace Protest Happened.

    cdn.lifebuzz.com_images_227466_lifebuzz-b501477cdfcdca87a3f7a5bf20f77551-thumb_800

The year was 1969, and the world was pretty much as chaotic as it is today. There were political issues, the Vietnam War was happening, and some people were advocating the world to start making love, not war. Of course, John Lennon of the Beatles, and his wife, Yoko Ono, were more than happy to step in and join the protests. But instead of a sit-in, they had a bed-in at one of the most iconic hotels ever, and now you can stay in the same suite where the bed-in occurred. It's a piece of history, and you actually get to occupy the same space that this power couple were in. How cool is that?

On the first day of the Amsterdam Bed-In, John Lennon and Yoko Ono were making a statement.

This may very well have been the most unusual honeymoon ever. That’s right! Lennon and Yoko Ono got married on March 20, 1969, and spent their honeymoon from March 25, to the 31st in room 702, aka the presidential suite at the Amsterdam Hilton Hotel.

The couple had a second Bed-In in Montreal on May 26, at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel.

During their one week stay, they occupied rooms 1738, 1740, 1742, and 1744. They also recorded the song, “Give Peace A Chance,” which became an anthem for the peace movement.

Decades later, the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel has turned suite 1742 into a symbol of peace.

Those familiar with the hotel will definitely admit that the suite is completely different from the rest of the hotel’s architecture and design, but it’s meant to pay tribute to the “Give Peace A Chance” movement, and honor rock-and-roll at the same time.

You'll feel like you've traveled back in time when you enter the reimagined suite.

You can thank Sid Lee Architecture for renovating the room with the 1969 motif, while blending some of the modern amenities that travelers tend to expect and require when they stay at the Fairmont.

You'll never stay in a more peaceful suite than the one in room 1742.

Even the walls, which are inscribed with the lyrics, “Give peace a chance,” a tribute to the song that was recorded in this room, cry out for a peaceful solution to today’s world problems.

The suite also features a wide array of artwork designs that you have to see to believe.

Among them are the industrial looking lockers that you can open to reveal memorabilia packed in each cubby. Just one look and they’ll take you back to the time of the initial protest.

If you feel like Lennon and Yoko Ono are in the room, it's because they are.

All you have to do is look at the walls and study the photos that commemorate the bed-in from 1969. But other features, like the lamp above the dining table and the old-style TV will make you feel like you’re actually there.

Looking back at the power couple, you can tell they were years ahead of their time.

They were hip, fun, and were willing to stand up for what was right. They also didn’t mind an audience in their bedroom, as they invited journalists to observe and record their protest against the Vietnam War.

Neither Lennon nor Yoko Ono would have imagined that their bed-in would have become so famous.

Years later, we’re still feeling the effects of their peaceful, yet powerful message demonstration throughout the world. So, it seems only fitting that the room would be renovated in honor of the International Day of Peace.

  • Abused Pit Bull Becomes Canine Fashion Icon And Then Gets A Hero Award.

    cdn.lifebuzz.com_images_227392_lifebuzz-4f2629f8fc8359ef059ee9cf7799aec5-thumb_800

Animal cruelty is no laughing matter! The sad truth is that we live in a world where some people choose to treat their pets like dirt rather than members of the family. Some folks even start out liking their pets. Then, out of the blue, they'll flip a switch, decide they're fed up with them, and start treating them horribly, or they'll abandon them on the side of the street. But if anyone knows what neglect and abuse feel like, it would be a beautiful pitbull named Abigail, who endured some of the worst kind of animal cruelty. But she eventually overcame her trauma and found her way to a brand-new life. Now she's the ultimate fashion icon.

Some people don't know how to deal with their own issues, so their animals become an outlet.

Instead of loving, and caring for these animals the way they care for us, certain owners will take out their frustration on their pets. Just ask this adorable pitbull with sadness in her heart.

Abigail has quickly earned the title of doggy fashionista, but it came at a great cost.

Initially, she had suffered a great deal as a result of neglect. Vets even suspected that she had been used in illegal dog fighting rings. In the process, she ended up with a number of injuries, some of which were life-threatening.

When Abigail started donning headgear, it was to cover up the injuries she'd received.

She had lost an ear and suffered other head injuries, which is why she started wearing on elaborate hats and other forms of trendy head gear.

She might be a fashion guru to some, but just last November, Abigail was homeless.

Who knows if she’d even be alive if she hadn’t been picked up after wandering the streets of Miami. But when she arrived at the Pets First Well Center, she was in really bad shape.

The pitbull literally had missing layers of skin from her head and body, and her life was in danger.

Now, she’s leading a completely different life as an online fashion guru, but things could have been so much different for her had she not been rescued in time.

When Victoria Frazier, founder of Love is Fur Ever Dog Rescue, saw the photos of Abigail, she worried.

She feared Abigail would be euthanized, so she took her from the Pets First Well Center, and cared for the pitbull. Then she took her home where she quickly became the new woman in her husband’s life, Brock Frazier.

When Victoria first started redressing her head wounds, she discovered something.

She realized that Abigail’s head dressing would always resemble a bonnet. Eventually, the bonnets became headbands and soon enough, a fashion star was born.

Abigail's recovery was absolutely amazing, and people took notice.

Even the American Humane Society caught wind of this incredible four-legged pooch, and decided to honor her at the 2017 Hero Dog Awards on September 16, 2017.

Victoria pointed out that initially, Abigail's injuries might have been too much to handle for some.

But as her injuries have healed, and she’s gotten noticed quite a bit on social media thanks to Victoria, who started uploading Abigail’s photos on Facebook and other outlets.

Victoria, her husband Brock, and veterinarian Thomas Jackson are very proud of Abigail.

In a situation where most dogs wouldn’t have survived, Abigail beat the odds, overcame great hardship, and proved that perseverance, with a little love from her human friends, ultimately conquered all.
